Custom commerce, from platform evaluation to operational handover
Bessarabian Cigar Studio needed commerce software built around its catalog rules, fulfilment model, integrations, and day-to-day operations. After AG Systems evaluated mainstream platforms alongside a custom approach, the business requirements favored a custom-built system: product presentation and operating workflows could be designed as one platform instead of being adapted to an off-the-shelf store.
AG Systems defined the product requirements and technical approach, then built the platform end to end: an edge-served storefront, live Kotlin/Spring commerce backend, React-based administration console, AWS infrastructure shipped as code with CI/CD workflows, and the documentation, guides and operational runbooks needed for independent operation.
The platform is live. Client training is complete, and operational ownership has been transferred.
